Breeding Red Cover F1

Post by moltrup32 » 16 Jan 2008, 18:35

Hi everyone :) I have a lot of young discus from my red cover pair. There seems to be 3 types of fish. 1. Ghost, 2. Brown/Red fish with stressbars. 3. A more yellow/red type also with stressbars. I´m interestet in whitch of them I should keep for breeding and what the outcome will be. I have heard a lot of things about what i should expect if i breed them, but there is not any one in Denmark who has ewer done this before. Does any one know?
The pictures is of the pair, and their offspring.

I guess they have cleaned a Rose Red with Ghost to get the stress bars away!
I would breed Ghost x Rose Red (the F1 with most Red color)!

Very cool to see!!
Looks like they have crossed Rose Red, Red Melon and Ghost to get your Red Cover any one how knows for shore what the breeders are using to get the Red Covers :dontknow:
