Hi Poddan,
Systems are based on logic,very simple,infact the simpler the better,man has this tendency to complicate things,they call it a man thing! :grin:

Hi Tom,

I just saw your videos and the nice Heckel Discus (note the spelling if you do not have my book, the man was Heckel, and he called the Symphysodon discus).
Anyhow I wanted to congratulate you, but also give some suggestions:
1. These Heckel Discus are wild Discus mmost probably from the Rio Negro basin (typical) and not any blue face or so called Blue headed Heckel Discus. But that is not important...
2. important is that you give them fine sand, which they are used to and need it;
3. that you feed them VERY WELL, this is extreme important for Heckel Discus, and specially those you show, as they are very skinny (one can see their side bones which is a alarming sign but can be strained out, by feeding them with a variety of life foods, best Daphnia, Blood worms, Black worms, Mosquitoe larvae, larger Artemia without salt).

These are only suggesteions, from one who should know...

all the best and was nice seeing you in Duisburg,

always

Heiko
