Hello Robyn

Wow thats looking great. Really good work. You must be so pleased after all your trouble and effort you have gone to to get these fish.

That wood looks really good.

Hi,

very nice aquarium, but I would hardly place more plants, except for floatung plants it should have some more to give more shade in one part of the aquarium at least.

Keep up the good work, as the fishes already feel "at home".

Always

Thanks all for the nice comments :tumme2:

Originally Rio Mutum, Amazon - but I don't think that's what you meant. They were imported into Australia via Glasser Germany.

Thanks, it's the wood you helped with advice on. I spent quite a few $$$ on new driftwood especially for this setup, but I just couldn't get it to work - so this was wood I already had, just sterilised and re-used.

Thanks Dizkuz. Other than the floating plants filling out, I probably have all the greenery in there I plan on, at least for now. Trying to find the balance between a bio type (for the discus) / some greenery (for me) and ease of cleaning.

Thanks heaps for the encouragement, Mr Bleher. It's just taking a little time for the floating plant to multiply & spread across the tank, but it's certainly my intention to have the surface fairly well covered, to provide them with shade - but I have to say in the past week they have come a long way & no longer even seem bothered by the light. They seem to have decided that the only reason I am in this world is to give them food & they qucikly head to the feeding corner as I approach the tank.

One night, when lights were off, 2 gave me quite a scare. They seem to almost, but not quite, sleep laying on their sides.

It's Amazon Frogbit

It's week 6 for them in my tank, so it's time to clutter up the forum with a few too many pictures

Robyn,
They look great and the tank as well.
I'm very happy to see that all went well after the long wait you had.
Keep up the good work and don't over care for them. Just keep them happy as you do now.
