I really need some clarification here please, it says Albino Leopard and ALSS.
I read Albino Leopard and then in my head i say (ALSS= Albino Leopard SnakeSkin)
Is that correct? And if so... what is the differ between Albino Leopard and Albino Leopard SnakeSkin?
As I get it there are 2 different Leopards? Regular and SnakeSkin?

I thought Leopards and SnakeSkin Leopards were the same, but I know that SnakeSkins should have finer striation on the gills, and obvious Leopards don´t?
Am I right or can someone please explain to me.

Regards!

Hi Strixxx,
Leopards have typically 9 stress bars with spots. This is different from checkerboards and striped turquoise that also have 9bars.
Snakeskins 14 bars. These are also divided into pattern and spots 'type'

Snakeskins means a 14 bar fish web like pattern or striped pattern.
Leopard snakeskins means a 14 bar fish with spots.

To explain further, in albinos, we can't really see the stress bar unless we lift the fish up to the light. [unless they are pigeon or other stress-barless strain like snow white ghost etc] Goldens that are throwbacks may or may not show the faint stress bars depending on the genes present.

A white scorpion has snake genes showing[phenotypical] but a white butterfly does not show it.[or may not have snake genes]

Similarly for albino snakeskin, we normally can tell if the lines/dots on the face are very fine compared to leopards.

Hope this clears up your question.
