Amazon River Disaster & Global Warming

Post by Heiko Bleher » 05 Nov 2010, 17:48

Hi guys,

I just wanted to let you all know about my most recent report and some global warming facts, in which some of you may have interested in reading it. I researched and wrote it for the website of PFK this week:

Enjoy (or maybe not),

Tragic reading Heiko. Whats your opinion in this? Who to blame Mother nature (goes up and down), global worming (easy solution to blame) or the Brasil goverment?
Do you think there will be any changes with Dilma Rouseff as president? I also understod that there are some bitter feelings after this election.
And dont forgett to sign the here http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/o/24" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... n_KEY=4673

Dear Kaj and others,

To me, from what I see around the world (and wrote a little about it in this report), it is definitely man to blame for it, and mainly because of the destruction of nature, the gigantic deforestation - never ending story. I thing CO2 from vehicles, factories, etc. comes much later (secondary), but naturally takes also its toll.

I saw the 2500 km of soya plantation now extending all over Amazonia (and not only in the Brazilian Amazon), cattle is secundary. And for this ALL trees must go. And NO ONE will stop that. And it has changed so much that I could wite a book about only that - what I saw a few decades ago and what I see now, and my eyes are very good and do not lie (and do not belive most of what the media tells us...).

I cannot get your link, but I am sure with Dilma Rouseff there is no change, because she is Lula.

All the best,

always

I have followed this story for a while. Cannot ut into words how I feel, very saddening. More info and pics can be found here http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/g ... 72&index=7" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I wonder when we will take responsibility for our actions?
Comfortably numb

My heart is crying. I can not understand how this can happend, when it's so easy to see this katastrofic changes in many places in the world. Are they complitly blind??? I know,of course their blind, as usually it's the same old moneygreede thats blinding people.

There is an expression in sweden that goes something like this,

"Genies has it's limitations, stupidity none!"
