Hello,

I thought as I have finally got it I would put a few pics up of the acrylic tank with the background in it. I have had 4 holes cut in the bracing (see pic 3) along the back so I have full access behind the background to make sure its always clean. Im going to use plastic floating media so any dirt collects on the bottom of the tank so I can syphon it of easily.

I also had a steel frame made which is to wide to go through the doors so it had to come through the window. I should have said, the tank is 72" x 36" x 25" and is approx 1000l.

Still got a lot to sort out but so far Im very pleased with it.

Hello Poddan,

Sadly not, alot of this is trial and error so I keep changing my mind on set up and filtration. I think I will have it sorted over the next month. Also Im totally broke after laying out for the background and the tank.

I much prefer having higher stands, I have a serious back injury so I have to sit in very upright chairs so the extra height in the stand means I get a better viewing position.
