WB:SABBY Kamoshidas story about Nhamunda vol1.

Post by tonysdiskus » 31 Dec 2013, 14:41

Kamoshida kommer att skriva ett flertal storys om sina fiske äventyr i Amazonas och här kommer den första av dem,,,

------ Nhamunda Discus and I - --------------
I stayed 137days in the Amazon this discus season in order to get wild discus.
I went to not so many places even my quite long time of amazon stay.
I stayed mostly east part of the Amazon .

On the way back to Wbsabby office in Goiania , I stopped off at Nhamunda for few days to see discus.

Wbsabby has been giving much attention to Alenquer red discus and naturally , my destination shall be alenquer area where`s basing Santarem city.
Nhamunda is between Manaus and Santarem.

Access to Nhamunda area is not easy , there`s no surface access no air access from Manaus and from Santarem even though those 2 cities are big and nearest cities to Nhamunda area.

I had a reason why I am still particular about Nhamunda Discus.
Before I begun to work at Wbsabby , I was exporting fishes in Manaus in another company. The company name was K2 .
K2`s main line was firstly discus and then apistgramma.
K2 didn`t touch any of alenquer discus in spite of she was proud of discus specialized exporter.

It is simply that Manaus area had enough variety of discus around the city. like manacapuru, abacaxis, marimari, uatuman , negro heckel, anma ,anori etc etc. Only tefe green discus is very far among "Manaus discus."
Nhamunda discus is one of principal member of "Manaus Discus"
Alenquer was very far from Manaus so I could not find reason to go there with high trip cost.- Manaus is discus rich city some like arabic countries with oil shell.

My partner Yamamoto went to Nhamunda quite frequently in discus season. Nhamnda area is east of Manaus.
There were (still now) no surface road access to Nhamunda.
No air access too. We might take boat when we go to Nhamunda. There was no other choice. Boat was called "recreio" in Brazil, it means boat for ordinary amazon people to move. Recreio is intercity bus in the Amazon.

It took few days to get Nhamunda by recreio.
There is nothing to do on the boat , just eating sleeping and sometimes talking with amazon people I first met there.
Most important thing for you to learn on amazon boat is "how to kill time". Eventhough the trip was boarding , it worth for us very much.
"you can get good discus only where it lives"
It is the only and the best way to get good discus over the season.
No other way.
(to be continued)

My old friend Bosse Q saw the article and he recognice the fisherman,
The man with the torch in mouth is Mhora and the man with the back against

That's right. it is them.
